Meet a Mom: Ashley | Tulsa Moms Network

This week’s Meet a Mom is the amazing, Ashley Marsh! Ashely is an incredible photographer, encouraging fitness instructor, and such a sweet friend! I’m so excited for you to get to know her a little more. Make sure to follow her photography and iStroll pages on Facebook and Instagram and go try an iStroll workout this week!

How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
We have Ezra Wilder (7), Leo Tolliver (3) and Osa Dauphine (2 months)

How long have you lived in Tulsa? What made you decide to live here?
We moved to Tulsa six years ago from New Orleans. My husband, Tony and I are originally from Kansas and after having our first child we were ready to be closer to family. We miss New Orleans so much but we’ve loved making Tulsa our home!

What’s your favorite family activity in Tulsa? Like 100% of Tulsa families, we love The Gathering Place! We love spending time running along Riverside, playing at playgrounds, finding outdoor music and going to Drillers games.

Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in Tulsa?
Our favorite restaurants are Lasalle’s, Nola’s, Smoke, Taziki’s and our neighborhood Ice Cream and Dairy Store, Braum’s.😂

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I have an art degree but I got a better grade in anatomy than drawing.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
First, my husband is the ultimate parenting partner. Our middle child told our dentist that moms don’t change diapers dads change diapers and I believe that speaks volumes to my husbands parenting.
I also wouldn’t have survived these years without my mom crew at iStroll Tulsa. Knowing I’ll have a group of mom friends waiting for me keeps me accountable for three workouts a week. They are always a text away when I need to vent or just a laugh. I’ll never take for granted having friends that have advice when I am questioning my parenting choices but knowing they’ll never judge the decisions I make.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I’ve been lucky enough that my two passions allow me to have a career while staying home with my children.

I’ve owned my own photography business, Ashley Noelle Photography, for over ten years, specializing in babies, kids + families. I love playing with light and doing whatever it takes to make a photo session fun while creating photographs that make a mama heart happy.

When my second child was ten months old, while I was in the worst shape of my life, I discovered iStroll Tulsa, a stroller fitness group. I fell in love. I hadn’t ever been able to make fitness a habit before, but over the next year in a half I worked hard, got in the greatest shape of my life, became an instructor and then eventually took on ownership of iStroll Tulsa. We meet three times a week to workout, set a good example for our children and have fun while doing so. I personally invite anyone reading this to join us! It’s truly been a life changer for me.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now? Or what are you hoping to gain from being a part of this community?
I’d say one of my biggest passions is helping moms making this time of their life more fun and less lonely. I believe this community can do that by encouraging women to join forces and informing about mom + kid friendly events.
